The vehicle is designed for reconnaissance missions, escorting and guardingof motorcades, patrol, fire support, for special operations conducted by thepolice and internal security forces, for crew protection. It can be used as anassault vehicle or as a transport platform for light firearms and missileweapons, communications and other defense systems.
The vehicle is designed to be operated at ambient air temperatures rangingfrom - 50°C to + 50°C and relative air humidity of up to 100% at temperaturesof up to+25°C. It is adapted for operation in regions located at altitudes ofup to 3000 m above sea level and is capable of negotiating water obstacles. Thewater speed is 5 km/h.
The armored monocoque hull provides a perimeter protection of the crewagainst 7.62 mm 57-N-231 AKM bullets from 10 m distance at firing angles of360° in azimuth and 0…30° in elevation. The hull protects the crew againstunder-bottom blasts of F-1 or RGO hand grenades and against detonation of plasticexplosive devices containing 0.5 kg TNT equivalent.
The vehicle can negotiate water obstacles at a speed of 5 km/h afterpreparation. Thepreparation time does not exceed 10 minutes.
